Every college is different, and most large universities do not track your engagement, but many college admission offices love to see that you’ve been in contact with them, the sooner the better.
It makes it easier for them to guess that you will “yield” - that you actually know about them and consider them a top choice. College fairs, high school visits, simple missives, and especially taking official campus tours are the best way to do so.
But! Not every student can afford to fly all over the country during high school, so there are plenty of ways to demonstrate your interest, and I can help! (Note that I have separate guides for campus vistis, and recruitable athletes.)
